As you know Noah, the boy and his family have some Indian in them and his mom works for her tribe as a cook at a school and for the elders of the tribe. The Canoe Journey happens every year. It is where all the tribes on the west coast canoe there way up the sound and they make stops for every tribe so on this day they made a stop for the Sammish Tribe. You can hear each canoe as they get closer because they are singing, then once they get to shore they ask if they can come ashore and share a meal with everyone then they do some tribal song and play they little drums and stuff, then we all eat a ton of food, crab, clams, fried bread, and so much more. It was really cool and the kids had a ton of fun swimming and running around and watching the canoes come in.
